Vert.x: This ain't your Dad's Node

What do you get when you combine the event driven, non-blocking I/O model of Node.JS with the proven performance and concurrency found in the JVM? Vert.x.

Matt Stine, veteran Enterprise/Java Consultant gave this introduction to Vert.x in front of the SF Java Usergroup, detailing some of the framework’s key functions, such as polyglot programming, seamless scaling, and a distributed event bus.

If you like the Node.JS framework, but want something capable of tackling larger problems, then check out this talk.
