Building Killer Apps for 4G/LTE Networks

In this talk, you will learn what Long Term Evolution (LTE) is. Marakana Android Expert, Marko Gargenta, will explore it from the application developer's point of view. By the end of the talk, you should be able to identify the opportunities for new applications as well as how to take advantage of new capabilities in your existing apps.

Marko will talk about:

  • why you'd care about 4G
  • how to leverage it in your apps
  • how to manage for mixed networks
  • how to speed things up
  • how to use sessions effectively
  • how to future-proof your apps.

Stay tuned for Part 2 of this presentation, in-which Alex Gaber of Alcatel-Lucent will talk about OpenPlug Studio, a free cross-platform application development tool that allows you to create native mobile apps using standard Web technologies.
